Head of DAPS Global Summit: Faisal SiddiquiDAPS Global Summit Website
The DAPS Global Summit is a conference designed to celebrate the fantastic work undertaken by junior healthcare professionals and students. It is two-days of inspirational speakers, presentations by delegates and fantastic innovation which will leave a mark on all who attend.
The aim of the Summit is to create a space within which junior healthcare professionals and students can share their work, plans and ideas. We have purposefully designed an environment where hierarchy is flattened and participants feel free to express their views. The Summit is a mechanism to effect change both practically and culturually.
We are now inviting participants for the DAPS Global Summit 2015, visit the website to find out more.
DAPS Global Summit 2014 Feedback
The first DAPS Global Summit 2014 was extremely well received with excellent feedback from delegates.
Written feedback from delegates included:
Well-organised, interesting, inspirational
It was an empowering and uplifting few days. Great to feed off people who are enthusiastic about changing the NHS rather than the normal doom and gloom of the workplace!
Very well organised. Excellent speakers, very charismatic and inspirational
I thoroughly enjoyed the summit. It did not feel intimidating as a medical student which made engaging very easy and comfortable. The content was pitched at a level that was pertinent to junior doctors and felt achievable as a future FY1.
Very professional and well run Summit on an extremely important and often overlooked aspect of medicine.
Very enjoyable. Great opportunity for lots of junior doctors and medical students to present there work in a supportive environment.
Great to hear such enthusiastic doctors speaking. DAPS events are always inspiring. The event ran smoothly and even the technical hitches were quickly surmounted.
Very impressive organisation overall. This summit puts together Junior Doctors, provides precious opportunity to discuss matters Re: patients’ safety, care quality, and how to look after ourselves in order to maintain professionalism. Well done, DAPS! and a big thank you!
It was a great Summit, can’t believe it was only the first one, as it was well organised. The speakers were really inspiring, and it’s made me really want to do further work in QI. I’m sure next year will be even bigger and better
Overall I really enjoyed the summit, it was a great place to learn about quality improvement and how to do it better. It was also a great forum to share and discuss ideas
The encouragements of being more confident in ourselves, the idea that everyone can initiate some changes, if not even to change the system in whatever mode; that the system is flexible, however strong. And not to forget of ourselves behind our duties.
